Again on the issue of a VP:

McCain said that a VP has nly two jobs: 1) to check on the health of the presidnet; and 2) to attend funerals in Europe of foreign presidents and leaders.

John Adams sais of the VP position that he renected: "I donot want to be buried before I die!"

Today, with Cheney as Exhibit A, it is clear that the VP has a very important task, has great influenc in government policies and must be ready on day 1 - in the event tragedy calls on him

How can McCain consider Paylin competent to take over as president when he blasted Obama as lacking in experience? If anythiong, at least Obama has credentials worthy of a scholar, and he has proven right when he objected to the Iraq war from the beginning! One of the few who "saw the light"

Shame on McCain!!

P.S. only good thing about the hurricane approaching New Orleans is that Bush and Cheney used that as an excuse to cancel their republican convention appearance! What a great break for them, McCain and the repubican party.McCain and the republican moguls were surely praying Bush and Chaney would not show up!!
