Again on the issue of a VP:McCain said that a VP has nly two jobs: 1) to check on the health of the presidnet; and 2) to attend funerals in Europe of foreign presidents and leaders.

Today, with Cheney as Exhibit A, it is clear that the VP has a very important task, has great influenc in government policies and must be ready on day 1 - in the event tragedy calls on him
How can McCain consider Paylin competent to take over as president when he blasted Obama as lacking in experience? If anythiong, at least Obama has credentials worthy of a scholar, and he has proven right when he objected to the Iraq war from the beginning! One of the few who "saw the light"

P.S. only good thing about the hurricane approaching New Orleans is that Bush and Cheney used that as an excuse to cancel their republican convention appearance!
